Cesena, 15 May 2023 – As many as nine stages in the first “week”, which gave us the great beauty of pedalling under Vesuvius in the Sorrento-Naples stage and the great effort of climbing up to Campo Imperatore in the Pratola Peligna-Gran Sasso d’Italia. A highly spectacular Enel X Way Giro-E in its 2023 edition. After the magnificent Big Start in Abruzzo, the route delivered a host of emotions along the Giro d’Italia roads and enhanced the pedal assist e-road bikes that every morning perform the magic of turning ordinary cyclists into champions for a day.

Accompanying the participants on their rides are many former professionals, actual champions forever. The world champions Gianni Bugno and Igor Aastarloa, the Parigi-Roubaix winners Andrea Tafi and Sonny Colbrelli, the conqueror of the Giro d‘Italia Damiano Cunego, and Sacha Modolo, Giovanni Visconti, Lello Ferrara, Davide Cassani, Daniele Colli, Manuel Belletti. A show within a show.

And this is just the beginning. So far, 540 of the planned 1,150 kilometres have been covered and “only” 6,200 metres of elevation gain have been climbed out of the 16,400 metres that will be totaled at the finish. There are still 11 stages and unforgettable views and climbs to go.
